The Lake Area Christian Church in Fremont, is a group of people whose primary desire is to praise God for the blessings He has given. We attempt to do this by allowing Christ Jesus to be the Lord and Master of our lives and by sharing with others the joy He gives.
This congregation is nondenominational, independent and locally governed. We want to be known only as Christians. This is possible if we simply trust Christ Jesus, obey His teaching and live faithfully for Him. His will can be known through careful Bible study and a willingness to obey the Scripture's teaching. The Lord's Supper is an important part of our service. When instituting the Lord's Supper, Jesus said, "This do in remembrance of me" (1 Corinthians 11:24). In obeying Him, the New Testament church "came together on the first day of the week to break bread" (Acts 20:7). We follow this example by communing with our Lord each first day of the week. This congregation will follow the teachings of the New Testament. There will be no creed but Christ, and only the Bible will be used as our guidebook. Christ's program has a two-fold emphasis: growing as Christians (2 Peter 1:5-8) and proclaiming the gospel of Christ throughout the world (Matthew 28:19,20). Can you be a part of this fellowship? Yes. The Bible teaches us that he who hears the Word of God (Romans 10:17) and believes it (Acts 8:37) should turn from his former life to serve Jesus Christ (Acts 3:19), confess his faith in Him (Romans 10:9,10), repent of his sins and be baptized for the forgiveness of those sins. (Acts 2:38). The Lord then adds him to the church (Acts 2:47), which is the body of Christ (Ephesians 1:22,23). We urge you to prayerfully consider this simple, faithful approach to God's Word. Come and join us in serving Christ Jesus as Savior and Lord. (Thanks to the church in Waldron for some of the content of this page.)
